Michele Credle Obituary

Michele Denise Credle, 48, the youngest child of the late Minister Linda Y. Wright Credle Stubbs and Dennis Thomas Hollie Credle, made her transition peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at her home in Hampton, Virginia.

Michele was a native of York County, Virginia, and graduated from York High School. She attended Thomas Nelson Community College and graduated from Kee Business College. Michele also attended the New Testament Teaching Church of Christ for many years. She took over the InReach Brown Bag Ministry her mom founded over twenty years ago, distributing spiritual and physical food to those in need.  Michele loved to serve.

She had a kind giving heart, she loved her children and did her best to show them that. She was known for her thoughtfulness and families in the community just gravitated towards her, as her home was open to many people throughout the years.

Michele was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed cooking, listening to old-school DMX, and her favorite color was purple. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who have been touched by her light, tight hugs, warmth, and tenderness. May the Lord Jesus Christ receive the spirit of Michele Credle, a mother, sister, and friend to many, and console the hearts of her family; especially her children in this time of deep sorrow.

Michele was preceded in death by her son, Raheem Fennell; her stepped-up and stepped-in dad, Pastor William C. Stubbs; and grandparents, James Russell and Evelina Wright, and Hollie and Louise Credle.

Michele leaves a legacy of love with her fiancée and special friend Roland Fennell; daughters, Khiara Fennell, Blessing Credle, and Heaven Davis; sons, Malik Fennell, Ernest Davis, and Cameron Davis; brother James Wright; sister Angela Newman Clarke (Barrington); grandchildren, Cay’Lani Davis-Saulsby, Elise Fennell, Adonis Credle, and Jameila Linda Jean Davis; bonus siblings, Sabrina Stubbs Clemons (Anthony), Daryl Stubbs (Loretta), Randy Woods, Rochelle Woods, Renee Morgan (Chappell); best friends, Mary Jane and April from High School; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

A service to celebrate Michele's life will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Whiting's Funeral Home with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of her service in the chapel.
