Nathan Earl Pollard Sr. was born on July 15, 1957, to the late Earnest Pollard Sr. and Queen Ester Young Pollard, in King and Queen County, Virginia. On September 7, 2021, God called him home, for he had prepared a place for him in Heaven.
At an early age, Nathan was baptized at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Newtown, Virginia. He loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family. Being a hardworking man, he was employed as a foreman with Shirley Contracting Company, LLC for the last five years.
Left to cherish his precious memories is Nathan’s wife, Rosemary Pollard; children, Nathan Pollard Jr., Christopher Pollard (Latosha), Marki Pollard, Jennifer Jones, Talina Pollard, Kimberly Nelson (Thomas), Deonte Pollard, and Keiron Pollard; sister, JoAnne Gregory (Gerald); three brothers, Earnest Pollard (Terry), James Pollard (Brenda), and Wayne Pollard (Drucilla); three uncles, Williams Young (Gladys), Presley Young, and Fredrick Young (Shirley); two aunts, Florence Vessel (Thomas) and Clarise Gwathney; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in Whiting’s Funeral Home, with a wake commencing at 6:00 p.m. Facial coverings are required.
