Mrs. Pamela Yvette Hundley, a beloved wife, mother, sister, cousin, and friend, affectionately known as “Pam,” passed away on August 28, 2025. She was born on March 6, 1963, in Williamsburg, VA.
At a young age, Pamela was baptized and became a member of Union Baptist Church in her home community of Highland Park. Pam attended Lafayette High School, where she excelled in academics and shined bright like a star on the basketball court.
Pam served her community working as a CNA and Med Tech in nursing homes and as a home health aide for over twenty years. She took great pride in giving quality care and compassion to every individual she cared for. The Williamsburg Regional Library was her second home because she had a special love for reading. Her joyful spirit, infectious laugh, and bright smile lit up every room. Pam cherished motherhood and especially loved spoiling her six “grannies”.
Pamela is preceded in death by her father Russell Bridgeforth Sr., beloved in-laws, Charles and Maggie Hundley, Uncle James Taylor, Uncle Littleton Taylor Jr., Aunt Jean and Uncle Harry Edlow, Jr., Aunt Martha Elizabeth Harris, Aunt Elnora Franklin, and her beloved sister Karen R. Taylor-Ingram.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Gervis L. Hundley, their daughter Ashley and son-in-law Javan Cain, six grandchildren, Javan Jr., Jaelen, Samiyah, Jaasir, Sitarah, and Jasiyah; her mother, Parthenia, and stepfather, John Brooks Sr.; Uncle William and Aunt Carolyn Taylor; Aunt Doris Anderson; and Aunt Lillian Taylor; brothers, Russell Taylor, George and Tonia Bridgeforth, Russell and Monica Bridgeforth Jr., sisters, Dr. Cheri Bridgeforth-Castillo and Julio Castillo; Jacqueline and Casey Williams, and Tracey Bridgeforth; a host of additional brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved lifelong friends, Ramona Lynch and Tracey Noel.
