Perry Williams Obituary

Perry LaValle Williams was born on September 10, 1975, at 7:00 p.m. to Rev. Dr. Myrtle Royal-Dobson. He departed this life unexpectedly on April 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., following an untimely accident.

Perry was educated in the Newport News Public School System. He was the proud owner of The Tint Assassin and worked as an auto detailer. In addition, he was employed as a delivery driver for AutoZone.

Perry had a deep passion for cars, motorcycles, shoes, and the latest in fashion. He took pride in his appearance and was always well-dressed and smelling good, even going to work.

At an early age, Perry joined First Baptist Church Morrison, where he was baptized by the late Rev. Dr. Marcellus Lee Harris. He later became a member of Colossian Baptist Church under Christian experience. There, he developed a close and meaningful bond with Pastor Dr. Peter Evans, whom he affectionately called “Unc,” and Pastor Evans lovingly referred to him as “Nephew.” Perry remained devoted to his faith and attended services regularly until his work schedule required him to work on Sundays.

Perry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the AutoZone and car club communities. His legacy of love, style, and passion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Perry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Deacon Thomas and Ruth Royall; paternal grandfather George Williams Sr.; uncles, Thomas, Ronald, Ralph, and John; aunt, Viola Reed; and niece Makayla M. Williams.

Perry will be remembered by his children, Aja, Jasmine, Jaden, Gabriella, Isabella, Perryiana, Jaquaya, Skylar, Perry Jr., and Nylah; grandchildren, Dash, Kai, Jru, and Jraya; mother, Rev. Dr. Myrtle Dobson (Tracy); stepfather, George Williams Jr., who raised him; siblings, SSG (Ret.) Qudarro A. Williams (Andrea) of Killeen, Texas and Robyn J. Williams of Newport News, Virginia;  grandmother, Esther M. Williams of Hilton Head, South Carolina; aunts, Marcia Anderson, Jerelene Royal, Gloria Mooreland, Georgetta Legrier, and Gladys Robinson; uncles, Bernard Williams (Deborah) and Nelson Royall (Irma); nieces and nephews, Mariah Williams, Taylor Guest, Qudaria Williams, Aaliyah Williams, Devin Williams, and Qudarro Williams II; bonus family, Rev. Dr. Peter Evans, Sumaster Newell, Debbie Williams, Willie Williams, and Lillian Baker; special little cousins, Jaylen Lee and Rodney Sims; and a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, extended family members, cousins, and dear friends.

A funeral service to celebrate Perry's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Colossian Baptist Church. Mr. Williams may be viewed in the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of his service.
