Priscilla Ann Slater was born on July 6, 1966, in Virginia to the late Matthew Fenton and Loretta E. Parrott-Demeritt. She departed this life on January 21, 2020.
She graduated from Denbigh High School, Newport News, Virginia and furthered her education at Virginia Commonwealth University. She was employed in the home healthcare field, where she touched many lives.
She leaves to cherish many fond memories, a devoted husband, RW Slater; devoted children, Da'Jah Butler, Jo'Mesha Butler, and Jo'Angelo Butler; devoted step-children, Annette Silas, Roy Wayne Slater, Anthony Slater, Paulette Johnson, Priscilla Slater, Dacioon Slater, Tas Hill, and Kuhlman Slater; siblings, Gregory Parrott Sr., Tiffany Parrott, Sharon Odums-Jones, Lionel W. (Velda) Demeritt Jr., Kenyetta Fenton, Vanessa Fenton, and Matthew Fenton III; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Matthew Fenton and Loretta E. Parrott-Demeritt; brother, Bruce Parrott; and grandparents.
A celebration of Priscilla's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020, in Whiting's Chapel. Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Mrs. Slater may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
