Rico Andre Wright Sr. aka (RAW) was born on September 16, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan, to the union of Loretta and Robert Wright, to whom both preceded him in death. He was the third oldest child of five, including his best friend/ twin sister Angela Wright who preceded him in death. Rico made his transition on May 15, 2021.
Rico received his education in the Detroit Public School Systems. He was baptized at an early age at Jericho Missionary Baptist Church.
In 1985 Rico relocated to Virginia and lived with his favorite Aunt Jannie. There he met Zella, and to this union, they had one son Rico Jr. Rico worked 30 years as a Culinary Chef, working the last 20 years at the Sportsman’s Grille.
He loved his family and friends and was silly and very loving. He loved watching old tv shows such as “Sanford and Son,” “The Three Stooges,” and “Good Times.” Rico’s favorite saying was, “Do what it do.”
Rico’s loving memories will forever be cherished by his son, Rico DeAndre Wright Jr, daughter, Tomeka Jackson (Tyrone), and their mother, Zella Green; granddaughter, Harmoné Wright; grandsons, Treyon Jackson and Tae’mon Jackson; sisters, Ronya David (Gene), Tonya Bridges-Brown (Larry), and Raveta Wright; brother Gregory Wright (April); nieces, Asia, Armani, Jamaica, and Jovi; great-niece, Journie; nephews, Jeffrey and Malcolm; great-nephew, Jalen; aunts, Jannie, Jesse, Beverly (Sam) and Shirley; special friend, Cheryl; and a host of other family and friends.
