Mr. Robert C. Wyche Bolling, affectionally known as “Skipper,” was called to eternal rest on Monday, November 11, 2024, at his residence. Robert was born on May 21, 1947, to the late Lou Ellen Wyche Fisher, and through marriage he became the son of the late John Lee Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his father Andrew Bolling, Sr.; brother Andrew Bolling, Jr.; and sister Daisy Wyche Smith.
At an early age, Robert accepted Christ and joined the First Baptist Church, McKenney, VA. He attended the Dinwiddie County Public Schools. He worked as a Professional Waiter for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, retiring after forty years of dedicated service.
Robert was a very hard worker and a sharp dresser. He was an avid reader, and loved watching sports and courtroom shows. He loved his family, and he was loved by all.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory a brother John J. Fisher (Yolanda) of Williamsburg, VA; five sisters, Sandra Fisher of McKenney, VA., Rev. Dr. Wanda Tucker (Charles) of Chesterfield, VA, Fain Washington (George) of Williamsburg, VA, Susie Bolling of DeWitt, VA, and Barbara Lou Small of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Special thanks to his brother-in-law George Louis Washington, who was as close as a brother and a great friend, he was at Skipper’s every beck and call. To his sister Fain Washington who was his personal assistant in everything. To his devoted nieces, Shandrelle Fisher, DeShanna Jewell, and ShaGloria Washington thanks for your untiring love and devotion shown in his most needed times. Special thanks to Sentara Hospice Care for your professional and caring service.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
