On Saturday, June 1, 2024, Robert Rodgers Sr. went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord. His life on earth began on January 18, 1943, the son of James and Mary Lee Rodgers.
He was a very good mechanic and loved fishing with his son James and his little grandson Sincere.
He is preceded in death by his wife Thelma Rodgers; parents, James and Mary Lee Rodgers; two children, Tammy Rodgers and David Rodgers; and two brothers, James Rodgers and Roosevelt Rodgers.
His legacy will forever live on through his four loving children, Angie Rodgers, Robert Rodgers Jr., Beth Rodgers, and James Rodgers; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul Rodgers, Gerald Rodgers, and Jessie Rodgers; three sisters, Dixie Camp, Katie Barrett, and Diane McMillan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Noon on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. Mr. Rodgers may be viewed beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of his service in the funeral home.
