On Friday, June 4, 2021, our beloved Rosalie Minkins entered eternal rest at home. She was born on January 2, 1923, to the late Henry and Zennie Randall, in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Rosalie was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools graduating from Bruton Heights School. She was employed and retired from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation after more than forty years of service.
At an early age, she joined hands in fellowship with Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. She remained a faithful member until her health prevented her from attending regularly.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry (Baltimore), Hughie, Carl, and sisters, Louise, Lelia, and Edith. Her memories will forever be cherished by her son, Keyshawn; brothers, Elwood and Purcell; sisters, Celestine and Lillie Mae (Ray); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A service to celebrate Rosalie’s life will be held at noon Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, with the Reverend Ventson Robinson officiating. Interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Minkins may be viewed on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the church.
