Russell Lee Fauntleroy entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, April 10, 2023. He was born on November 9, 1959, the son of the late Robert and Ruth Fauntleroy.
He was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public School System and was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church. He loved watching Western TV Shows, listening to old-school R&B at the tailgates, and family.
He specialized in the field of Culinary Arts for a number of years. He had a strong love for cooking and truly enjoyed cooking for others and watching them enjoy their meal.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shamare’ Cypress, and grandparents, Florence C. and William O. Lee.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories with his children, Alex Emanuel Hailey, RaShonda Danielle Johnson, Bryan A. Epps, and Britain Brown; grandchildren, Jaydis Nazir Emanuel Hailey, Gabrielle Nicole Futrell, Jayden Emanuel Futrell, Jordan Alexander Futrell, Khloe Marie Futrell, Shayla Cypress, Aaliyah Cooke, Shelton Cypress Jr, Omari Haynes, Jayce Taylor-Wilks, Charlie Taylor-Wilks; sisters, Robin, Renae, and Ruby; brothers, Reginald and Rickie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A service to celebrate Russell's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at Little Zion Baptist Church. Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service. Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Mr. Fauntleory may be viewed in the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Facial coverings are required.
