Sally Ann Stevens was born on September 30, 1948, in Newport News, Virginia and departed this earthly life on August 25, 2024, in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, who was known for her kind heart and unwavering support of her family.
Sally’s warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. To our mother in Heaven, thank you for always loving us and guiding us. Even though you are no longer here with us, we can still feel your love guiding us. You are always in our heart. We love you and miss you dearly.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Smith and sisters, Zenobia Lucas and Mary Jones.
Sally is survived by her three children, Philip Stevens (Tayana), Erica Goine (Anthony), and Jeremy Stevens; grandchildren, Nyazha Stevens, Philip Stevens Jr., Khari Brown, and Noah Brown; great-grandson Jabari Strong; siblings, Nitani El-Yadri (Nita) and Jackie Smith (Jack); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A graveside inurnment service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
