Sarah Ann Meekins

Sarah Ann Meekins was born on January 20, 1941, to the late Robert and Alice Meekins. 

She attended Bruton Heights School and was a faithful member of Chickahominy Baptist Church (CBC). She was sweet and kind to everyone who knew her always smiling and loved her family dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel Graves; children, Keith Meekins and Barbara Prescott; step-children, Ethel Williamson and Travis Graves; sisters, Joyce Meekins, Anita Meekins, Eliza Meekins, Rosemary Meekins, and Ethel Meekins; and brothers, Richard Meekins, Wardell Meekins, and John Meekins.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, Vincent Meekins (Brenda), Robert Meekins, Theresa Graves, Evelyn Graves (Wayne), Nellie Washington (Chris), Charles Graves, Christopher Graves (Angel), and Trish Graves (Chuck); loving sister, Abbie Meekins; thirty-one grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, all whom she adored; two very close special friends, Gwen and Natalie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Chickahominy Baptist Church. Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Ms. Meekins may be viewed from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of her service in the church.
