Simon "Jeff" Jeffery Morning

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, our beloved Simon "Jeff" Jeffery Morning left us to be with the Lord. He was born on January 14, 1964, to the late Simon and Noel Morning of Williamsburg, VA.

Jeff graduated from Lafayette High School and later pursued art studies at Thomas Nelson Community College. He loved music and the arts, and he played both electric and bass guitars. A huge and loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he stood by his team through every win and loss. Most who knew Jeff can attest that he was always good for a laugh.

Jeff worked in the family business, Simon Morning Inc., until its closure. His last place of employment was Habitat for Humanity, where he worked as a pickup and delivery driver.

Jeff leaves behind his brothers, Anthony Morning (Verna Renee Morning) and Jay Lamar Morning; niece Alyssa Renee Morning; uncle Charles Tyler; aunts, Janey Edmonds and Leola Simpson; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Whiting's Funeral Home.
