Terence Lee Jones

God saw you were getting tired,
and a cure was not to be.
So he put His arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me my child."

Terence Lee Jones departed this earthly life and answered the Master's call on Thursday, November 30, 2023. His life began on March 12, 1957, the son of the late Calvin and Ruby Jones.

After graduating from New Kent High School in 1976, Terry proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years. For over twenty years he was employed with the Stuckey’s Company. At an early age, Terence was baptized and joined St. John Baptist Church in Toano, Virginia.

Terence is preceded in death by his wife Debra J. Wilson-Jones; son, Terence Lee Jones, Jr; and two sisters, Marilyn Jones and Ruby Lee.

Terence leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter Tyesha N. Jones; two sons, Tyrelle L. Jones and Corey L. Jones (Patice); ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Lightfoot, Donna Jones, Audrey Lightfoot (Alton), and Christine Piggott (Morris); brothers, Lorenzo Jones, Calvin Jones (Angie), and Raymond Jones (Rebecca); one aunt, Mary I. Jones; four extended sisters-in-law; two extended brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at Noon on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Bethel Restoration Center with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the church.
