On Saturday, March 6, 2021, our beloved Thelma Elliott went to her eternal home to be with the Lord. She was born to the late Joseph and Mary Marie Jones, October 15, 1940.
She was united in marriage to the late Freddie C. Elliott. To this union, five children were born.
Thelma loved the Lord her Savior and Friend. She lived her life in worship to Him. Her earthly service to Christ and others was to love in spirit and in truth. Thelma never met a stranger. Her beautiful smile and loving way put others at ease. She was always ready to lend a listening ear, give words of encouragement, and share wise counsel to help others find their way in life.
Her daughter Selma Elliott preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish loving memories two sons; Deno Elliott and Freddie D. Elliott, two daughters; Elnita Johnson (Merriman) and Zelda Boyd (Ashley), one sister, Annie T. Brown (Frank), eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who she loved dearly.
We will all miss Thelma deeply. We can honor her life by living our lives surrendered to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, living with respect and dignity in all we do.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Whiting's Funeral Home. Due to the current health pandemic, only 50 people may be in attendance with facial coverings and social distancing requirements. Facebook Livestream will be available at the start of the service.
