On Sunday, February 21, 2021, our beloved Timmey Keith Fauntleroy transitioned to eternal rest. His earthly journey began on January 28, 1960, son of Betty Green and the late John Henry Fauntleroy.
Keith was raised in Williamsburg and spent some of his teenage years in New Jersey. He graduated from Lafayette High School with the Class of 1978. He later joined the United States Marine Corp Reserves. After being honorably discharged, he pursued a fulfilling career with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for more than 34 years. His outstanding service could be experienced at various locations such as Josiah Chowning's Tavern, Christiana Campbell's Tavern, and The Green Course at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club.
Keith was a people person. He carried a smile on him that would lighten any mood wherever he went. He loved his family and friends and there was nothing that he would not do for either of them. He was widely known for his knowledge and passion for fishing which he would share with anyone. His early mornings and long days on the piers with his family brought him plenty of joy. Keith also participated in the Colonial Williamsburg Bowling league with his coworkers and close friends. In his downtime, you could find him shooting pool with his loved ones. Keith’s love for singing allowed him to join his family in the GTG Gospel Ensemble. Over many years, his deep, soulful voice could be heard setting the tone. Keith was a known and dedicated fan of the Oakland Raiders. To be part of the Raider Nation was a true honor to him and his dedication was unmatched.
Keith was preceded in death by his brother John "Bubba" Glendale Fauntleroy. He leaves his love and precious memories with his son, Mitchell A. Tyler (Angela); daughter, Keyana L. Fauntleroy; stepson, Gary E. Potter; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Betty Green Robinson; sisters, Phyllis Harrold (Lloyd) and Jennifer Wilson (Hezzie); brothers, William Green (Alberta) and John Bush (Tracey); a special friend, Deborah White; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
