On October 23, 2023, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend left his earthly home to rest peacefully and pain-free in his heavenly home with the Lord. He was born on September 20, 1964, in Williamsburg, VA. where he attended Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools and excelled in Football and Track.
He briefly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a devoted member of Grove Baptist Church, Portsmouth VA, until his health prevented him from attending regularly.
Troy had a passion for many things in life. Above all, he loved and cherished his sons, granddaughters, nieces, and nephews. Troy loved fishing, cooking, football, his dogs, and driving trucks. He was a personal and professional chef, and a truck driver by trade. As owner of Spices and Herbs Catering, he spoke highly of his staff. He was very proud of the work he did with them. Troy made connections and lifelong friends wherever he went. He definitely did not meet any strangers in his life. He cherished time spent with childhood and school friends and sought to maintain these relationships every chance he could.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his sons, Joffrey Robinson and Troy Robinson Jr.; daughter-in-law Sherita, whom he loved as his own daughter; granddaughters, Shemiah, Jordan, Sara, and Sabrina Robinson; sister-in-law, LaTera Robinson; siblings, Angelia Robinson, Dollecia Robinson, and Rodriguez Robinson; aunts, Veronica Newby and Mary Florence Holloway; uncle, Isaac Blizzard Jr.; great-aunts, Virginia Canady, Louise Douglas, and Rebecca Robinson; devoted and loving girlfriend, Esterlita Maddox; devoted family members aunts, Louise Douglas, Sandra Douglas, and Virginia Wesley and cousin, Eric Mason, whom he talked to on a weekly if not daily basis; especially on long delivery drives across state; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, business associates, and friends
A service to celebrate Troy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Whiting's Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mr. Robinson may be viewed on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
