Vitalie Strih

Vitalie Strih was born on January 12, 1952, in Moldova.

As a child, Vitalie played different sports like soccer, basketball, and volleyball. In addition to sports, Vitalie had a huge passion for music and art.  He loved playing the guitar, some piano, and sang in a local band. He was also a stand-up comedian in college. Vitalie received a bachelor’s degree in math and physics and would later become a teacher. In addition to teaching, Vitalie regularly participated in organizing summer camps for orphan children. 

In 1980 he met his future wife Galina.  This union was blessed with two children - Victor and Irina. 

In 2014 he moved to the USA to reunite with his children and grandchildren. Vitalie enjoyed his retirement surrounded by family.

On April 5, 2022, in Riverside Doctors' Hospital, Vitalie transitioned to an eternal journey.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in Whiting's Funeral Home.  Facial coverings are required.
