On December 1, 2024, God in his Almighty Powers called home our beloved Waldron J. "Bossman" Wilson. He was born on June 30, 1963, the youngest son of the late Rosa C. And Caesar A. Wilson Sr., in Newport News, Virginia.
A lifelong resident of Gloucester, he accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of First United Baptist Church, Gloucester. He was a Waterman working alongside his former boss and friend Michael Greene. He also worked many odd jobs around Gloucester when needed.
"Bossman", as everyone knew him, was well known and one of the most genuine guys you could ever meet. He was generous and ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved his family and was dubbed the comedian because he would keep everyone laughing. When the music started he became a dancing machine. He loved to play pool and would challenge anyone. Bossman marched to his own drum in life, with no excuses and no regrets. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his sister Phyllis Lee; and brothers, Ceasar A. Wilson Jr. and Alvin D. Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his brothers, Harry Bright and Michael Wilson; sisters, Vera Struba (Mark) and Valarie Walden; sisters in-laws, Gale Wilson, Denise Berry, and Shirley Wilson; special nieces, nephews, and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Whiting Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson may be viewed beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of his service.
Professional services have been entrusted to the staff of Whiting’s Funeral Home, 7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. 757-229-3011 whitingsfuneralhome.com
