William James Jackson was the fifth child born to the late Herbert and Dorothy Jackson on January 25, 1951, in West Point, VA. On August 4, 2022, William transitioned from labor to reward.
“Pally”, as he was affectionately called, attended Beverly Allen School in West Point, VA. He accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at Mount Nebo Baptist Church in West Point, VA. He retired from Herbert Wilson Construction Company in West Point, VA.
William was joined in marriage to Dale T. Jackson on May 22, 1993. This union blessed him with three children.
As a child, William loved being in talent shows and performing. He had many jobs, but was known for being a carpenter specializing in concrete finishing and drywall. William was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and loved NASCAR. William always would say he had two Dales in his life, Dale Earnhardt Sr., “#3” and the love of his life, his wife Dale Jackson. William believed in having a good time and was the life of the party. He loved to dress, and he was dapper. William had a great love for his family and loved going out on family outings. He was a kindhearted individual and would do anything to help when called on. Despite of dealing with illness, William was a fighter and fought until the very end.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert “Mickey” and Dorothy Mae Jackson; siblings, Elijah King Quarles, Herbert Jackson Jr., and Joan E. Williams.
