William "Bro" Arthur Simons

On Tuesday, April 22, 2026, William Arthur "Bro" Simons answered the Master’s call and entered eternal rest. His life began on October 11, 1951, the son of the late Dea. James G. and Carrie Simons, of Williamsburg, VA. 

William was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. He later enlisted in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he worked at Braceland Brothers Manufacturing Company. He then went into the Masonry field, where he stayed until his health failed.

William was also an avid baseball player with the “Scotchbrothers Team.”

William is survived by two sons, Tyrone Simons and Dontee Heard, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

A memorial service will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Whiting's Funeral Home.
