Mr. Willie L. Fitts, a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., was born on May 8, 1937. He was raised by his late aunt, Mamie Davis of N.C. On March 3, 2026, Mr. Fitts transitioned into eternal rest at Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was educated in North Carolina and later moved to Williamsburg, VA, to work at The College of William & Mary and the Norfolk Shipyard. He later retired from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation after 30-plus years of service. He was a faithful member and Deacon at Holy Light House Tabernacle.
Mr. Fitts is preceded in death by his wife of more than forty years, Virginia L. Fitts.
Mr. Fitts is survived by six stepchildren, a niece from New Jersey, and a host of other cousins and nephews from North Carolina, grandchildren, great-cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends.
