Yovonne D. Snowden entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Sentara Williamsburg Hospital after a lengthy illness. "Tiny," known by family and friends, was born June 17, 1956, to Joan R. Jackson and the late Charles H. "Mum" Jackson.
At an early age, she confessed Christ, was baptized, and joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Robert Snowden and was blessed with four children. She was employed with Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and, most recently, with Walmart.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles H. "Mum" Jackson, and son, Joseph Snowden.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Joan Jackson; children, Troy (Tiffany), Quinn (Jachell), and Jessica Snowden; grandchildren, Reagan, Christopher, Amelia, and Isaiah; aunts, Hilda Burrell, Hortense Hilt, Agnes Jackson, and Fredi Jackson; and a host of other relatives and caring friends.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery. Livestream will be available at the start of the service. There will be no repast following the service. A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at the funeral home. Facial coverings are required at all services.
